GA’s Jack Baron ‘26 has seen tremendous results on the mats since he arrived in 9th grade. This year, he has achieved runner-up in the Beast of the East, 3rd place in Escape the Rock and has been a two-time National Prep All-American.

“I first got into wrestling because my brother wrestled for North Penn,” Baron said. “After seeing him do it and succeed, I wanted to follow in his footsteps.”
Baron’s brother has had a major impact on his wrestling career. He practices five days a week during the winter season, along with off-season lifts and cardio, staying in shape throughout the year. In addition, his teammates consistently praise his work ethic and commitment to the sport.
“As a teammate, Jack is great to have,” wrestler Jack Breme ‘26 said. “He supports you win or lose and consistently works hard in practice, whether it’s conditioning or going live. I’m happy to have had a teammate these four years that’s helped push me to become better.”
Baron also owes a large part of his success to his team and coaches. GA has played a large role in developing both his wrestling skills and resilience, propelling him to achieve his podium results.
“GA has helped me improve mainly through the people that support me, like my teammates and coaches,” Baron said. “Both Coach Justin and Coach JM have helped me improve throughout these four years, whether through practices or giving me feedback during matches.”
Looking ahead, Baron is excited to compete for Drexel’s wrestling program next year. His teammates especially have helped elevate his level, and the work he has put in at GA will leave him well-prepared for the collegiate level.
“My teammates throughout all four years have been really supportive and fun to be around,” Baron said. “Over these years, I’ve developed and improved a lot, so I should be ready for Drexel next year.”
Overall, Jack Baron’s legacy will live on in GA’s wrestling program, both for his accolades and his work ethic and team spirit.
