As the year comes to a close, seniors reflect on their time at Germantown Academy. 

What is your favorite memory?

“Storming the field after GA/PC Day at PC sophomore year. Running hand in hand with kids I didn’t know but soon got to know and feeling so much school spirit, energy, and the spirit of tradition.” – Caitlin Boland-Szura ’22 

“GA/PC week and all the activities leading up to it with our grade coming together, during our last year.” – Lucy Harobin ’22 

“Greek Day.”- Matteo Sarisky ’22 

“Senior Strut; it was fun running through the hallways with the whole class.” – Julian Wilson ’22 

“Winning the InterAc and playing in state finals.” – Brett Rabbiner ’22, Germantown Academy Boys Varsity Soccer 

“Academically, economics and meeting my favorite teacher; socially, participating in events such as dodgeball, kickball, and spoon assassin.”- Lilly Cannon ’22 

“The GA/PC football game in sophomore year and rushing the field after the big win.” – Cailin Hassan ’22 

What will you miss the most?

“The faculty I created strong relationships with and the feeling of home and knowing everybody and everything about the school.” – Caitlin Boland-Szura ’22 

“The rowing team, every aspect, even the small things like the specific boathouse we row out of, the drive to the boathouse, and memories on the boats.” – Liv Pacitti ’22 

“The super tight knit community of our grade and all my friends.” – Riya Palkar ’22 

“Traditions like spoon assassin. Even though I got out first, it was a fun and nice way to do something nice for the seniors and allow them to bond with friends, because you don’t know who to trust, but you also want to trust them. It was a fun experience.”- Brandon Wang ’22 

“The people, seeing friends everyday, and the laughs.” – Brett Rabbiner ’22 

“Being silly with my friends in school.” – Lilly Cannon ’22 

What is your most valuable lesson learned?

“How valuable friendship is. Surrounding yourself with good people is key.” – Sonia Behrendt ’22 

“Always ask for help when you need it, because there will always be help there.” – Debbie Rotibi ’22 

“Be your true self.” -Brett Rabbiner ’22 

How do you feel as the year begins to wrap up?

“Sad, because I just started to really enjoy it, but I’m also ready to leave and move on.” – Lilly Cannon ’22 

“Nervous, but also excited, because I know that GA has prepared me well for my future endeavors.” – Alexa Baer ’22 

“As the year begins to wrap up, I’m looking forward to the fun events seniors have at school like shirt signing and college shirt day, as well as prom and graduation…it was super cool to see last year’s seniors have all those events. and I remember feeling excited for the day I would get to have them as well.” – Riya Palkar ’22 

What are you looking forward to in the future?

“Finding happiness at college.” – Jacob Lee ’22 

“Getting outside of my comfort zone.” – Ari Lasdon ’22 

“Start over, get a clean slate, and become more independent and self-providing.” – Lilly Cannon ’22 

“I am looking forward to a new beginning and chapter of my life.” – Alexa Baer ’22 

“I’m looking forward to college and the summer before college which will hopefully be packed with lots of time to relax and spend time with my friends and family, before I leave.” – Riya Palkar ’22
