We’ve all been there.

Whether it’s you’ve had a draining day at school or a long night of studying, by the time night approaches, chances are you don’t have much energy, but your mind screams, “FOOD.”

Trust me, I’ve been there too. There are nights where I am dying to fall asleep but somehow end up with strange cravings. I walk into my parents’ room to turn the alarm off, claiming, “I’m getting water” only to then raid the kitchen.

Don’t know what to snack on? Well, now you don’t have to worry. I’ve curated a list of my favorite late night snacks, along with a tracked schedule of my late night cravings over the past week to help you out.

  1. Insomnia Cookies/ Chocolate Chip cookie with Milk

Who doesn’t love cookies, and better yet, chocolate chip cookies delivered to your front door!! Don’t forget if you give a late night snacker a cookie… they’re going to ask for a glass of milk!

Although I LOVE Insomnia cookies, unfortunately, they don’t deliver in my area and probably don’t for you either unless you live in Villanova, Philly, or Conshohocken.

Recently, my family has been getting the brown sugar chocolate chip cookies from Whole Foods. I know you are probably thinking, “huhhh Whole Foods?, but warm them up for 20 seconds, pour a glass of milk, dip, and enjoy. You won’t regret it.

  1. Ice Cream

Ice cream is a classic. I don’t know about you, but my freezer is filled with ice cream. Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Turkey Hill Mint Chocolate Chip, Talenti gelato, the list goes on– everyone has their own flavor that they claim to be theirs. Anyone relate? Whatever your favorite flavor is, a long day can always be cured with a scoop of ice cream… or two!

  1. Chips and guac

Don’t ask why, but I randomly craved chips and guac (and had to include it). Yes, it was 12:30 am… I know, weird. However, who doesn’t love chips and guac!!!

  1. Fruit

Strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, blueberries… take your pick!

  1. Sleepy Time Tea

People will make fun of me for this one because I normally drink it during the day despite its name. However, this tea really helps calm me down when I have that random burst of energy. It can also be a great way to wind down at the end of a busy day!

  1. Cereal

I don’t know about you, but does anyone else crave breakfast food sometimes when trying to fall asleep? Maybe it’s just a weird quirk of mine, but when I feel this way, a bowl of my favorite cereal is the perfect remedy!
